  7. Some of my translation clients become lawyer clients.
    "Of course I can translate this lawsuit for you. I can even advise you on how to respond." Almost no client says "no". Very useful combination of qualifications.

  11. One PM gave me such a hard time because I insisted that I could not accept jobs outside my area of specialization. He said, don't you want to learn new areas? I said no, I prefer to specialize. But what a jerk.
