You forgot to add that it needs to be submitted electronically from a preapproved e-mail address that we haven't told you about or something :-) Thanks for the big chuckle. I really like this one!
Reminds me of an agency who recently changed their invoicing terms to comply to a newly enforced French law. Instead of paying at 90 days (now illegal, as 60 days is a maximum) they require translators to send a monthly invoice on the last day of the month, which they will then pay at 60 days...Clever, innit?
I'm also tempted to send this one to a client of mine, who requires that i send an email before the 5th of each month asking for a list of the projects i made the previous month and then i can send an invoice, which is paid after the 20th. So i have to ask permission to send the invoice, so to speak.
Sage Software has recently launched a free online invoicng tool for freelancers and small businesses at http://www.billingboss.com. Billing Boss is focused of keeping invoicing simple - so simple that you can get set up and send your first invoice in just a couple minutes.
Please note: With the goal of full disclosure, I work at Sage. Feel free to contact me if you have any feedback about Billing Boss.
