  1. I think this is my favorite webcomic so far. It even depicts one of those ridiculous British wigs (please take no offense, British colleagues)!

  2. This is very familiar for some Spanish companies whose names we all know... I have a friend who is a translator for the police and she is idle quite a bit of the time while translations are outsourced to dubious companies...

  3. The Big Mac makes the whole difference...

  4. Interesting. Do interpreters charge less for fuzzy matches? ;-)))

  7. Funny as always, Alejandro :)
However, I think it might be a bit offensive for people with stravism. I suggest using one of those caps with two soda cans (I own one) to depict dumbness instead :)

  8. Funny and witty as always! Sometimes, you don't have time for any water except at lunch, so a Big Mac makes the whole difference. :)

  9. It's funny and sad at the same time. Let's keep up with the good work guys and gals because nobody is going to do it for us. Let's not sell ourselves for a Big Mac, metaphorically, and viva our profession and our creativity. It is indeed valuable. Very much so, especially today.

  10. Alejandro, I thought you made cartoons of fictional situations, NOT news stories!

But as Stefi points out, it's funny and sad a the same time, because exactly that has happened in the UK... Madelaine points out the link.

  13. This would be really funny, if it wasn't so scary... Frankly, with some of the stories you hear, this doesn't sound too far-fetched.

  15. Leave it to Mox, err, Alejandro, to sum up the current UK court interpreter debacle in one witty cartoon. No need to read up on it -- everything you need do know is right here. Love it, as always. Mil gracias.
