Mox is a young but well educated translator. Two PhDs, six languages...
and he hardly earns the minimum wage.
I think my worst translator's nightmares are making mistakes...
Or being told my translations are lousy...
Mine is that Google Translate replaces translators. I really dream about this. It's as absurd as it's scary! In any case, I reckon than Crados chasing me would be worse.
Ugh, Google Translate.
Agencies want to be paid for when a translator works for them - a real nightmare !
I once dreamed that I was at my office, completely naked. Then I realized that it was just the PC, my cat and me, so I continued translating :)
Worse is when you are a translator married to a translator.
shouldn't the title be: translator'S worst nightmare?
I would say "Translators' worst nightmare" or "A translator's worst nightmare".
Thanks to both anonymous, I changed the title.
Not a nightmare but I was once way too tired and writing with a pen and I tried to copy & paste with my finger...
Do translators have cars?
Wow, when did they get married?
Good question! That strip is not available in the blog, only in the book.
Haha, I guess Mox said "I do" in at least 26 languages :D
my worst is not getting paid for the translation... and unfortunately it happens quite often :(((
