Come on! A translator's wardrobe is MUCH more sophisticated than that ;-) http://lespilesintermediaires.blogspot.com/2011/11/tics-manies-et-autres-nevroses-ep-4.html
I literally have 2 pairs of pants, 4 t-shirts and 1 shirt. That's my wardrobe. Aside from that, I have 2 pajamas that I only wear when I'm working. I haven't slept in pajamas since 1999.
Have they invented those metalic jump-suits yet? I haven't been out of the house since 1999 too.
From time to time, I decide that it's time to start wearing something more fashionable than a T-shirt and sweatpants while working. For a couple of days, I actually do put a skirt or jeans on in the morning - until I just can't be bothered anymore. Sweatpants are soooo much more comfortable and there's nobody around while I'm working except for my cat and dog to actually see what I'm wearing, so why bother? :D
I find it awesome that the cost of my clothing budget is the price of new pyjamas (and sweat pants and T-shirts). It's one of the greatest benefits of being a translator!
I wear normal clothes when translating, but sometimes in the evening will switch to sweatpants and the big comfy jersey. One constant (never visible on Skype) are my sheepskin slippers. Mox's summer pajamas are cute, though. :)

hahahaha, great comment buddy!!! No metalic jump-suits for now, I'll let you know as soon as I find one ;-)))
DeleteTo be honest, besides working pijamas I also have a few comfortable and stylish training suits despite it is a long time since I last went jogging...

ReplyDeleteIf only there weren't these clients who insist on a video chat via Skype!
